Star Breather. (A song I wrote)

Star Breather, as I lie here now,

I’m fighting yet fail to see how,

A being as mighty and majestic as you are,

Would care to extend His awesome love so far,

As to give your life to pay,

For every single way,

I fail you day by day,

A person drowning in their sin,

Yet still you reach within,

Pulling me out and toward your heart.

Horizons brighten when you smile,

Life flows from your very breath,

You crafted man to be your child,

And he caused you to walk to your own death,

You gave so much because of love,

We’ll never know how deep it runs,

So deep you left your throne above,

To buy with blood your precious ones.

You breathed the stars,

You speak with fire,

Yet our tainted hearts are your desire,

I can’t comprehend this mystery,

This undeserved devotion you have for me,

But because my love…you first loved me,

I give you my everything,

My heart,

My soul,

My life,

My will,

I give you my all,

My all, my all, my all.

Cleanse me now wonderful Lord,

Lead and guide me with your word,

Merge my path with others’ that you long to save,

Teach me how to be like you,

Waver never and have faith that’s true,

And when you come…to retrieve your own,

Please call my name and take me home,

Star Breather…Star Breather.
